Cementitious flooring

PYE FLOOR HARDENER NS is designed to provide a monolithic, abrasion and impact resistant floor finish. It is composed of selected silica-quartz aggregates, cement and plasticiser.

• Can be applied onto any concrete or cementatious based substrate.

Ensure concrete substrate must be fully compacted with a grade of at least 25N/mm3 and a site slum of 70 to 100mm. The base concrete shall be stiffened, at an initial setting point, where light foot traffic is allowed and does not leave a maximum of 5mm deep imprint. However, the timing shall not be too late until the moisture within the concrete is insufficient to hydrate the PYE FLOOR HARDENER NS. Bleeding on the surface is to be avoided.

Application
Evenly broadcast about 60% of the material onto the base substrate. Wait until the colour of the PYE FLOOR HARDENER NS darkens from the absorption of the moisture from the base substrate. Lightly compact the material using a mechanical power floating machine, at a low speed, to prepare the surface for the second application of PYE FLOOR HARDENER NS. Do not overwork the surface at this stage. Repeat the process again with the balance 40% of the material and compact with the mechanical power floating machine, at a high speed, until a dense finish is achieved.

Curing
Spray apply proper curing compound or use polyethylene sheet.

Cleaning of Equipment
Clean all tools and application equipment with clean water immediately after use. Hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Shelf Life
6 months if stored in a cool and dry condition.

Storage Conditions
Store properly in dry conditions, in undamaged and unopened, original sealed packaging. Keep away from direct sunlight, rain, water and moisture.
