- To be used on concrete, rendered wall, hollow block, and aerated light weight block.
- Ceramic tiles or natural stones can be fixed on PYE FIL finished surface.
Ensure surfaces must be clean, free of dust, oil, paint, grease and all traces of mould. Prewetting is recommended for very dry surfaces, but over wetting resulting in accumulation of water on the surface should be avoided.
Mixing
Add about 8.5 - 9 litres of water to a 25kg bag of PYE FIL and mix with a powered drill whisk or a suitable mechanical stirrer for 10 minutes to obtain a homogeneous smooth paste. Re-mix again for 1 minute if the material is left undisturbed for not more than 30 minutes.
Application
Apply by using a spray plaster machine or directly with a steel trowel or spatula. Level out to a thickness of 2 - 4mm to obtain the correct level or alignment. When applying several layers, the base layer must be dry before spreading the subsequent layer. For an extra smooth finished surface, apply one coat of PYE FIL WF 221 finish skim plaster to a thickness of 1 - 2mm.
Cleaning of Equipment
Clean all tools and application equipment with clean water immediately after use. Hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
