Fillers

A high quality, ready mixed acrylic copolymer resin based plaster coat. Suitable for use as a smooth plastered coat prior to painting for interior ceiling and walls.

• Suitable for cement plaster.
• Used on previously painted walls.
• Can be used on cement fiber board or precast panels.

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, free from grease and other impurities. Moisture content and pH of the surface applied should be below 8% and pH 9.5 respectively, remove old peeling paint works before applying.

Application
• Stir thoroughly before use. Add water and stir well if it is too dry.
• Apply approximately 0.5 - 1.5mm of PYE SILK-COAT as a plastered coat.
• Allow the coat to dry (dry time in normal temperature between 20°C - 30°C).
Touch dry : 15 min.
Hard dry : 2 hours
Full hard dry : 4 hours
Re-application interval : 2 hours if required.
• Sanding : after 5 hours (use sanding paper # 600 - 1000) only if required.
• For higher sheen, apply two coats of premium interior or exterior paint.

Cleaning of Equipment
Clean all tools and application equipment with clean water immediately after use. Hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Technical Information

Adhesion	Adheres firmly to all surfaces which are clean, dry and grease free. Will not crack or fall out when dry.
Colour	As per colour card.
Coverage	Approximately 50 - 65sq.ft. per kg.
Drying time	A thin film dries in approximately 15 - 30mins when used for leveling irregular surfaces, drying time may vary depending on thickness.
Thickness	Apply approximately 0.5 - 1.5mm as a plaster coat before painting.
Sandability	PYE SILK-COAT has been formulated for easy sanding after 5 hours.
Odour	Odourless when dry.
Coverage	Approx. 1.5sq.m @ 16sq.ft./kg.

 

Storage Conditions
Store properly in dry conditions, in undamaged and unopened, original sealed packaging. Keep away from direct sunlight, rain, water and moisture.
