Used for waterproofing or damp proofing concrete or mortar surfaces. Suitable for both new and existing surfaces. Not recommended for painted or water-repellent treated areas.

  • Suitable for bathroom floors & walls, balconies, terraces, planter boxes and RC gutters.
  • Provides excellent waterproofing and damp-proofing protection.
  • Forms a hard yet slightly flexible coating with strong adhesion.

Ensure surface must be clean and free from standing water, grease, dust or any loose materials in order to achieve a good bonding. Avoid cracks and fillet edge, shall repaired to ensure that the surface is sound, even and clean. Dampen the surface if it is dry. Remove any excess water.

Mixing
Add 1 portion of Part B to 4 portions of Part A. Mixing can be done manually or by the use of an electric mixer to form a paste - like consistency to be brushed onto the concrete surface. Allow the liquid soak into the powder at least 5 minutes before remixing again. Use within 30 minutes.

Application
To be applied horizontally for the first coat and vertically for the second or vice versa. Apply the first coat when the surface is still damp. Leave to cure for approximately 4 to 8 hours at room temperature before applying second coat. For best results it is recommended that the second coat be applied after 24 hours (usually for floor applications). PYE PRUFCOAT 127 can be applied using a trowel or a hard paint brush.

  • For waterproofing bathrooms, terraces and balconies: 1kg/m2 per coat, with a minimum of 2 coats are required.
  • For waterproofing coating up to 1m water head: 1.5kg/m2, with a minimum of 2 coats are required.
  • For waterproofing coating more than 1m water head: 2kg/m2, with a minimum of 2 coats are required.

Note: PYE PRUFCOAT 127 must be applied in a minimum of 2 coats and must not be applied more than 2kg/m2 in a single layer.

Cleaning of Equipment
Clean all tools and application equipment with clean water immediately after use. Hardened or cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Shelf Life

Storage Conditions
